Lena Maxine Castañeda (Martin), age 63 received her angel wings September 1st, 2022

at 5:41 am with her family at her bedside.

Lena was born on August 4th, 1959, in Colorado at the Alamosa County Hospital at 6:00

am to her parents Wesley and Reba Martin (Riley). Lena's life may have started in

Alamosa, Colorado but at just two days old, her family made the venture to Phoenix,

Arizona where they would become permanent residents of the Arizona Desert.

Lena met the love of her life at the age of 19, a man by the name of Rex Castañeda.

After a brief courtship, three days to be exact, they made the commitment of moving in

and building a life together. They became married March 9th, 1979, and enjoyed the

simple pleasures in life.

Lena is survived by her husband Rex Castaneda of 43 years, stepdaughter Kelly

Contreras born September 1st, 1976, son Jeffrey Castañeda born January 13th, 1979, son

Joseph Castañeda born June 5th, 1982, and several grandchildren.

Lena loved her two sons Jeffrey & Joseph fiercely and she was a loving, devoted wife to

her husband Rex. She was known for her contagious smile, sarcastic nature, and her

signature long red nails!

She will forever be greatly missed and loved by all.
