Pasqualina "Lena" R. Leno (nee Del Guercio), 89, peacefully, surrounded by her family at her daughter's home in Fairfield, NJ on Sunday April 24, 2011, she resided at Sunrise Assisted Living of West Essex in Fairfield for the past three years. Loving Daughter of the late Pasquale & Genevieve (Frese) Del Guercio. Beloved wife of the late Michael J. Leno (2006). Adored mother of Pasquale & his wife Tina Leno and Rosalie Ann & her husband Al Lepinsky, Jr. Dear sister of Millicent "Millie" DiMichele & the late Angelina Scarpello, Florence Voglino, & James Del Guercio. Cherished grandmother of Mychele Lepinsky, Alex & his wife Aimee Lepinsky, Michael & his wife Danielle Leno, & Trisha & her husband Dominic Sedicino. Devoted great-grandmother of Dominic, Alexa, Katarina, & Michael. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, & great-nephews. Mrs. Leno was a seamstress at Excel Clothes in Newark & Irvington, NJ for 25 years before working as an inspector at Tropar Trophy in Florham Park for 11 years retiring in 1983. Lena & Mike lived in Newark, NJ after their marriage in 1954. They moved to Nutley, NJ where they raised their two children. The family moved to Fairfield, NJ in 1965 where they spent their remaining years. Lena was a sweetheart to everyone who knew her and loved her. Lena loved her family above all else and was a caring & devoted mother. She was a member of the Golden Agers of Fairfield. Funeral Wednesay 9AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield, NJ. Funeral Mass 10AM St. Thomas More R.C. Church. Entombment Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum. Friends will be received Tuesday 3:30-7:30PM Donations may be made to The Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 1359 Broadway, Suite 1509, New York, NY 10018 or FCSA Children's & Disabled American's Fund, c/o Michael Leno, 601 Pompton Ave., Cedar Grove, NJ 07009.
