Lenita Bracken Obituary
Mrs. Bracken passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026 at her residence. She was born November 2, 1959, in Morgan County, to Velon "Buddy" Posey and Mary Elizabeth Milam Posey.
She was the Owner and Operator of Bracken's Daycare for 17 years and loved her daycare children as if they were her own. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, and loved her family with all of her heart, especially her grandchildren. She had a booth at Pickers, where she sold her wares and bread. She loved and raised her chickens and collecting her eggs.
Lenita lived by the rule of "Better to give than to receive".
Her parents, a brother- Kelvis "Budd" Posey and a niece Miranda Cowart preceded her in death.
Survivors include
Husband - Ricky Bracken,
Son - Shane Champion (Heather),
Daughter - Ashley Bracken (Christopher),
Brother - Eugene "Kenny" Posey,
Sister - Donna Terry (Marlon),
Five Grandchildren - Brooklyn Champion, Ryleigh Champion, Peighton Champion, Hudson Champion, and Eleanor Bracken Bartholomew.
Pallbearers will be Karl Bartholomew, Colby Blankenship, Nate Cammon, Logan Blankenship. Tommy Milam, Steve Milam, Eli Canbelaria, and Taylor Barkley.
