Betty Bracken Obituary
04/09/1937 - 03/10/2026
Betty Shelton Bracken, affectionately known as "BB" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 10, 2026, in Dallas, Texas, at the age of 88.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Terry; her daughter, Charlyn Holmes, and son-in-law, Rob C. Holmes; grandchildren, Ashley Taliaferro (Jamie), Allison Bailey (Cole), and Baron Holmes (Flora Kate); great-grandchildren, George, Hudson, Kate, Bobby, John Dooley; and a 6th great-granddaughter arriving in May; her sister-in-law, Sarah Lou Bracken; her nieces, Betsy Bracken, Suzanne Cox (David), Sarah Lynn Gamble (Steve), and their families.
A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home in Waco. You are cordially invited to wear "bright" clothing to honor her memory.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Betty's honor to Texas Children's Hospital of Houston or the Alzheimer's Association.
