LENNA KUTNER Obituary

KUTNER, Lenna Boroff Lenna Boroff Kutner, age 68, of Gloucester and formerly of Auburndale, Plymouth, and Wayland, passed away on February 6, 2026, following a short battle with brain cancer. She was the beloved widow of Robert Kutner and the devoted mother of Daniel Kutner. She also leaves behind her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Susan and Richard Kutner, and their family; as well as her sister-in-law, Janet Kutner. A native of Brookline, Lenna attended the University of Massachusetts, Amherst for a bachelor's degree in elementary education and Northeastern University, where she earned a master's degree in public administration. She found joy in teaching, introducing middle schoolers to computers in the early 2000s, and with endless patience, doing the same for senior residents in Newton. She later volunteered her time as a librarian at the Auburndale Community Library, helping to keep it open as an independent entity. A lifelong animal lover, Lenna spent countless days walking her golden retriever Geti at Norumbega Park, making lifelong friends along the way and writing a children's book, The Magic of Norumbega, centered around the grounds' history as a former amusement park. A Celebration of Life will be planned for a later date, and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Lenna's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or at stjude.org/donate

Lenna was a wonderful neighbor for 8 years. We have one of her photographs displayed, a gift from her during a shared garage sale! We'll miss her.

I am so sorry for your family´s loss. I loved volunteering at the Auburndale Community Library with Lenna. She was so witty and so much fun. I was proud to gift her book to my young nieces and nephews- and to tell them I knew the author.

I´ve known Lenna since elementary school. I was shocked to see this sad news. My sincere condolences to her son and family. While I haven´t seen her in quite a while, we´d stay in contact through facebook. Gone to soon, as I cycle in my 38th Pan Mass Challenge, her initials will be on my leg.

What a wonderful person. Lenna was my patient before I retired.

She was always a joy to see and connect with. All my best to her family.
