Lennis lived a simple life as a husband, father, and grandfather. He grew up in Glen, Nebraska, a true country boy in every possible way. At age 18, he proudly served his country in the Armed Forces during the Vietnam War. He then made his way to Denver, Colorado, where he met his wife Nancy, over a borrowed cup of sugar.
Lennis loved nothing more than the quiet solitude of the mountains and countryside and made his way there to hunt and fish as often as he could. He enjoyed riding motorcycles in his younger years, and later in life, reading about American history and adding to his impressive arrowhead collection.
Lennis is survived by his wife Nancy, his sister Cheryl, his daughters Jennifer and Jamie, and his grandchildren Leila, Ella, and Luca.
In respect for Lennis’ private nature, funeral services will be held in April 2026, in Glen, Nebraska, for family and loved ones.
Those wishing to honor Lennis’ life may make a donation to his favorite charity-- Wounded Warrior Project. www.woundedwarriorproject.org
