Lenora Dorsett Obituary

Published by Weed Corley Fish Funeral Homes and Cremation Services - North on Feb. 28, 2005.
Together Again Lenora Dorsett Lenora Dorsett, 68, passed away in her sleep Monday morning, February 28, 2005. She is survived by her children; Ronnie, Dennis, Linda, Larry and Patrick Dorsett and their spouses; 17 grandchildren, Timothy, Skip, Justin, Andy, Sterling, Blake, Kimberly, Travis, Bridget, Ashley, and Ethan Dorsett, Brandon and Kristine Keily, Katherine Rayas, Mitchel, Michael, and Jasmine Cantrell; nine great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Billy and Jimmy Carnline; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother and father Ellen and Arlie Carnline, and her husband Tim Dorsett and daughter Denice. Tim and Lenora were the owners and operators of the Dorsett 221 Truck Stop for many years, having built the business and enjoyed it’s reputation as one of the finest in Texas. They also owned Dorsett Ditching Inc. and brought water to communities that would not have had it otherwise. Tim and Lenora founded and gave the financial support necessary to see that all children in the area received turkeys and Christmas presents. They were equally generous in purchasing livestock from children at the Hays County and Travis County Livestock Show Auctions. Lenora is remembered as a sweet, loving person who dedicated her life to her family and friends. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Make a Wish Foundation. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, March 3, 2005 at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 4, 2005, at Wilke-Clay Fish Chapel with Reverend David Sweet officiating. Interment will follow at Live Oak Cemetery, Manchaca, Texas.
