LENORA MABRAY GOODWIN

Lenora Rochelle Mabray Goodwin, 59, of College Station, Texas, passed away on February 25, 2026, in College Station after a brief illness.

Lenora was born on May 16, 1966, in Houston, Texas, to Arthur Dudley Mabray and Eleanor Pierce Mabray. She was reliably kind and laughed easily and often. She viewed the world with optimism and hope and never thought twice about helping a friend in need or an abandoned animal. Lenora cherished her family and looked forward to the times they all were together. She was creative and artistic and always was working on several pretty projects simultaneously.

She grew up in Victoria, Texas, and was a 1984 graduate of Victoria High School. She earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Houston-Victoria and then worked as a schoolteacher.

She was devoted to her loving husband, John Goodwin, who survives her. She is also survived by her father, Arthur D. Mabray, and stepmother, Harlene Mabray; sisters and brothers-in-law, Cindy Mabray McClure (Bobby), and Deborah Mabray Caudle (David); stepsister Jacqueline Jones Barnett, and stepbrother Ron Holman. She also leaves behind loving aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and 11 great-nephews.

Lenora was preceded in death by her mother, Eleanor Jones, and her stepfather, Charles E. "Charlie" Jones; niece Melissa Caudle; stepsister Kathryn "Kay" Jones; and cousin, Brett Mabray.

Lenora was a Christ-follower, and her family has the assurance and joy of knowing that we will one day see her again.

Visitation will be held at noon on Saturday, March 7, 2026, followed by funeral services at 1 p.m. at Grace Funeral Home, 2401 Houston Highway, Victoria, Texas. Internment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Victoria. Honoring Lenora as pallbearers will be David Justin Caudle, Clyde Morgan, Tony Williams, William Goodwin, Michael Mabray and Paul Michael Mabray.
