Ruby Weber Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Laird Funeral Home on Mar. 2, 2026.
On February 26, 2026, Ruby Ann Weber passed from this life into the immediate presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. After almost 30 years, she was reunited with Bill, the love of her life.

Ruby was born in Yorktown, Texas on June 16, 1930, to Dave and Mary Sowa Spellman. After graduating from Cuero High School, she worked as a long-distance telephone operator for Southwestern Bell. Ann first met Bill on a double date where they arrived with others but left having found each other.

Bill and Ann spent a majority of their married life in Baytown and Victoria, Texas and in Lebanon, Tennessee. After nearly 50 years of marriage, Bill passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer. Although Ann never thought she could live a single day without her true love, God had other plans. She was much stronger than she realized and survived her husband by nearly 30 years.

She was the best mom ever to her son William D. "Bill" Weber and her daughter Marianne Weber Rogers. She taught her children many important things; however, the most precious gift she gave them was a firm foundation in the Christian faith.

Although her later years were clouded by dementia and her world became smaller and smaller, she never forgot her family. She was always so happy to see them and had a smile on her face when you walked in the door. We will forever miss our mom and our grandmother.

Ann is survived by her son Bill Weber and wife Roxanne of Sugar Land; daughter Marianne Weber Rogers and husband Ben of Nacogdoches; grandchildren Chase Weber and wife Alaina of Sugar Land, Grant Weber and wife Maggie of Sugar Land, Trent Rogers of Columbus, Ohio, Sara Rogers of Houston and Emma Rogers of Orlando, Florida; as well as four great grandchildren, Liam, Camille, Nolan and James Weber.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William F. "Bill" Weber.

What a beautiful Savior we all have! Ann's family is at peace knowing that she is at home with our Lord Jesus. The family extends heartfelt thanks to Harbour Hospice and to Ginger Parr who was always willing to help with anything.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church at 2306 Appleby Sand Road, Nacogdoches, Texas 75965.
