A memorial visitation for Tommy Ray Albea, 90, of Nacogdoches will be held from 5:00-6:30pm on Monday, March 2, 2026 at Laird Funeral Home.

Mr. Albea passed away on Friday, February 27, 2026 in Nacogdoches.

Tommy was born on August 19, 1935 in Timpson, Texas to Cora Palmer. At the age of 12 he was adopted by Jack and Georgia Hall Albea.

He attended A&M University for one semester before returning to Nacogdoches and Stephen F. Austin. He went to work for United Gas Pipeline which eventually became Entex and then CenterPoint Gas.

Tommy honorably served his country in the Texas National Guard and the United States Army.

In 1988, Tommy married Monna McLain and the spent almost 38 years side by side.

He retired at the age of 60 and spent his time playing golf and at the coffee shop with his many friends.

Tommy is survived by his wife, Monna; daughter, Amy Deloach & husband, Robert and grandsons, Evan DeLoach and T.J. Deloach.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Charles Martin.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in honor of Tommy to LOVE, Inc at 917 Ruby Street, Nacogdoches, Texas 75961 or to Calvary Baptist Church at 3732 NE Stallings Drive, Nacogdoches, Texas 75961.
