Lenora Nell (Zink) Kinder passed from this life surrounded by her family on January 1, 2024. Her care has been entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing, Oklahoma.
Lenora was born on July 26, 1937, to parents Herman and Murl (Reedy) Zink in Roswell, New Mexico. She moved to Agra as a child along with her mother and brother Vernon. Lenora found a love for basketball and soon became a starter for the Agra Basketball Team, later graduating from Agra.
Lenora met the man that she would spend the next 69 years with, George Kinder, and was married on December 11, 1954. To their union were born three children: Lynn, Pam and Sharon. Lenora truly loved the family that God blessed her with. She loved them so much that she dedicated her life to her family's care working as a homemaker. When her family was fully taken care of, she would then spend her extra time being a secretary for the First Baptist Church in Agra, being a part of the Home Demonstration Club, but gardening had a special place in her heart. She loved watching her grandchildren's activities. When George and Lenora retired, they were able to spend time RV'ing and traveling in nearby states, enjoying just being together.
Lenora is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Harold Zink.
She leaves behind her husband, George Kinder; three children, Lynn Kinder and wife Kelly, Pam Carroll and husband Bobby, and Sharon Silvers and husband David; ten grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and a host of additional family and friends who will miss Lenora dearly.
A visitation for Lenora will be from 5PM – 8PM on Thursday, January 4, at Palmer Marler Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2PM on Friday, January 5, at the First Baptist Church in Agra, Oklahoma.
In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the Osage Cemetery, P.O. Box 155, Agra, Oklahoma, 74824.
