Lenora Panaro of Wilburtha Road, Ewing Township, died peacefully at home on March 14, 2025. Lenora was born at her home on Wilburtha Road in 1923 and was a life-long resident of Ewing. She was the youngest of seven siblings, including Vincent, Anthony, Catherine (Scalia), Rose (O'Brien), Grace, and Eva. She attended Trenton High School and left Ewing to attend Beaver College in Pennsylvania. Lenora was a teacher of French and Spanish at Ewing High School from 1950 until her retirement in 1986.
Lenora leaves behind nine great-nieces and -nephews who knew her as Aunt Babe, 41 great-great nieces and nephews, and eight great-great-great nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be said by Lenora's great-nephew, the Very Rev. Paul Scalia, at 12pm Thursday, March 20, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Ewing, followed by interment at St. Mary's Cemetery under the direction of M. William Murphy Funeral Home.
Lenora and her siblings established a foundation in their sister Grace's name to support the intellectually disabled. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to their foundation's scholarship supporting intellectually disabled children attending Catholic schools.
