LeNore Rasmussen Obituary
LeNore Barbara Rasmussen, age 85, of Roberts, WI, passed away on July 23, 2025, at Westfields Hospital in New Richmond. She was born on May 30, 1940 in Trade Lake, WI, to parents Lloyd and Hazel (Paulson) McKenzie. She was born in the grainery on the family farm because their family farm house had burned to the ground 2 weeks previously. She attended Little Wood Lake High School and graduated with the class of 58'. One week later after turning 18 she married the love of her life Clifford Rasmussen and together they were blessed with three children.
LeNore was a dedicated homemaker, pouring her heart and soul into her family. A woman of many passions, LeNore enjoyed gardening, spending time outdoors snowmobiling, camping, and playing at her favorite casino. She will be remembered for her warm spirit, her love of conversation, and her enthusiasm for sports—always eager to watch any sport that was on and cheer for her favorite team. Together with her husband Clifford, she traveled across all 50 states, creating lasting memories wherever they went. They were blessed to be married for 48 3/4 years before Cliff passed away. However, her most treasured moments were spent nurturing and raising her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and watching her family grow.
She is survived by her loving children: Barbara (David) Smith, Glen (Julie) Rasmussen, and Julie (Mark) Benoy; grandchildren Dustin (Paige) Hawkins, Courtney Hawkins, Jessica (Isaac) Sperstad, Whitney (Mitch) Anderson, Tyler Rasmussen (Kristie Williams), Jacob Benoy (Jewell Garcia), Becca Benoy (Alex Mannebach), and Cody Benoy; great grandchildren Brienna Hawkins, Cameryn Sperstad, Madison Hawkins, Bentley Anderson, Miles Constantineau, Evan Sperstad, Chase Constantineau, Olivia Rasmussen-Williams, Zane Anderson, and Shaylee Anderson; brother Lloyd "LeRoy" McKenzie and many nieces and nephews.
LeNore was preceded in death by her husband Clifford; parents Lloyd and Hazel; sister Dionne Reichstadt and brother Wayne McKenzie.
Services for LeNore will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at the O'Connell Family Funeral home in Baldwin, WI. Visitation will be held from 4-6 P.M. with a short service at 6 P.M. and from 6:30-7:30 more visiting and chatting as LeNore would have wanted.
Memorials are preferred to the family.
