Lenthus Albea Jr.(Sam) was born on February 23, 1947 to Lenthus Sr and E Eva Albea. Sam peacefully departed this
life on April 22, 2023 at his home with his family.
Sam graduated high school at Trenton Rosenwald in Trenton, TN. Aftfter high school, he joined the Army National
Guard(where he served with 33 years). He later completed vocational training as a brick mason and barber. He
served many years as a barber to his community until his health failed. He retired from the workforce with MTD
in Martin, TN. He was also a member of the County Line Lodge #68.
Sam was married to Mary Ann Albea for 48 years. To this union he inherited 3 devoted daughters. Sam accepted
Christ at an early age. He was a faithful member of Badgett Chapel Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he
served as a Deacon until his health failed.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Mary Ann Albea: three daughters, Felicia(Robert) Armstrong,
Bradford TN, Angela(Earnest) Mitchell, Jackson, TN, Kathy(Emanuel)Talley, Fayetteville, NC: Goddaugher
Chiquita Hodges, seven grandchildren, Stephanie Ackah, Jerrod Jennings, Devin Woods, Jelisa Jennings, Stephone
Rogers, Jeniqua Scates & E.J. Mitchell: seventeen great grandchildren: three sisters, Mattie White, Robenia Bailey
and Evelyn Partee; four sister in law: Jean Jones, Josephine, Minnie Frances & Sue Albea two close friends: Leon
Buchanan & Frank Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews cousins and friend.
Sam was preceded in death by his parents, Lenthus and Eva Albea; one sister Mary Frances Mays and four brothers;
Aaron, Raymond, John Lee & Ray Frank Albea.
