Mrs. Lentz Phillips Williams, 92, of Ellaville, GA, passed away on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, in the chapel of Way-Watson Funeral Home with Rev. Joel Smith officiating. Burial will follow the service in Ellaville City Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00PM.
Mrs. Williams was born in Blue Springs, AL, on October 15, 1932, to L. T. and Gladys Ilene Simmons Phillips. She retired from the ASCS office in Americus, GA, where she worked as an admin. A member of Ellaville Baptist Church, she was in the Joy Club. Mrs. Williams was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed puzzles, pulling weeds and she especially loved feeding the birds and deer in her yard. Mrs. Williams made wonderful wedding cakes. She did upholstery alongside her husband for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert W. Williams, Sr., by her son, Herbert W. Williams, Jr., by a grandson, Ted Czerwinski, by a sister, Margaret Ellis, and by her brother, Royce Phillips.
She is survived by two sons, James and Donna Williams, Sr., Roger and Teresa Williams; three daughters, Vivian and Don Morrison, Gladys and Ralph Menna, and Alice and Randy Yarbrough; 29 Grandchildren and 29 Great-Grandchildren.
