Today, we gather to celebrate the life of Leo Henry Cullum II, the cherished eldest child of Dr. Mattie Moss Clark and her beloved, only son. As the proud brother of the legendary "Clark Sisters". Leo brought a unique spirit to our family, one that was always loud, vibrant and larger than life. His infectious laughter and playful antics filled our homes with joy and created memories that will forever resonate in our hearts.
Leo had a remarkable talent for playing the piano, and while he could have ventured into many different genres, his heart belonged to jazz. It was a testament to his free spirited nature and love for improvisation. Our mother often encouraged him to join his sisters in song, Leo would humorously decline, insisting, "Too many girls!" his playful refusal only deepened the bond we all shared, as he reveled in our musical journeys from the sidelines.
Above all, Leo was immensely proud of his sisters. His love for us was unwavering and he celebrated our achievements with a heart full of joy. He was our biggest fan, always cheering us on with enthusiasm and pride. As we remember Leo today, let us carry forth his vibrant spirit, his love of music and the cherished memories we created together. He will forever hold a place in his hearts.
Leo leaves to cherish his memory; Wife, Elaine, Son, Todd, Sisters; Jacquelin, Denise, Dorinda, Elbernita and Karen, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, Saints and friends to mourn his passing yet celebrate his legacy of love and laughter.
The Family of Mr. Cullum would like to thank everyone for the tremendous outpouring of love and support, as well as for respecting our privacy during this time of transition. We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.
