LaVar's journey began in the close-knit community of Springville, where he was raised by his parents and grandparents, instilling in him values of community, resilience, and love for family. LaVar's life unfolded against the scenic backdrop of his beloved hometown, where he graduated from Springville High School class of 1952, shaping the foundation for a life filled with dedication and compassion.

On September 11, 1958, LaVar was sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple to Carolyn Argyle, embarking on a 65-year journey of shared joys, challenges, and unwavering love.
