Originally knew Anita with both of us working at Duke University Medical Center. Leo immediately struck me as an all around great guy! His love & admiration for Anita was quite evident. As well as later in life when they had children, Leo was just as vocal about his love for Sarah & little Leo.. Then Graham cane along & just the mention of him to Leo brought immense pride & joy to his face. Now Annabella Marie has completed Sarah´s family. Leo & Anita were amazing parents as evidenced by their adult children.

I was unaware of Leo´s passing. I worked with Leo on numerous projects over our 30 years in the H&S profession.
So sorry for your loss. He was a kind good hearted individual and I am proud to have known him.

I had the honor of working with and learning from Leo during my time in St Augustine at Northrop Grumman. Highest integrity, amazingly talented and passionate about his craft, his family, and everything Duke. I am so saddened to hear of his passing, and I pray for comfort for his family. May he rest in peace.

I only knew Leo briefly---in our Hospice grief group. Even in that short time, I learned what a very kind and considerate man he was. In the midst of his own grief, he bought a book for each member of the group. It was one he had found helpful, and he thought it might help us, too. It was clear that Leo loved his wife, and all his family, dearly. I hope he is with his wife now and at peace. I send my sincere condolences and prayers to his family.

I remember the first time Leo came to Northrop Grumman St. Augustine as a safety trainer. I thought that he was one of the most dynamic speakers on the topic of safety that I had ever heard. His passion for the subject was palpable. He helped shape the safety culture and made it a better place to work. In fact, Leo was the reason I got heavily involved in safety myself. Leo has been sorely missed since he left the company. All of us at work thought the world of him. He was a great guy, who had a positive impact. Praying for peace and comfort for the family and all who loved him.

Leo was a tremendous coworker and friend. He never hesitated to help me out or provide exceptional wisdom. There are very few people in the world like him. He will be sorely missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his entire family.

I had the good fortune to work with Leo at Northrop Grumman in St. Augustine. He retired not long after I did. We stayed in touch and visited each other after the death of his beloved wife Anita. He was one of the finest people I´ve ever known. I wish comfort for Leo Jr. and Sarah and their families. There is some comfort in knowing that Leo is reunited with Anita. Rest in peace my friend.

I enjoyed working along-side Leo, and for him at Northrop Grumman. He was truly a servant leader and admired by everyone. He put a "safety stamp" on the St. Augustine site that will live on forever. He not only shared himself, but also his family (Leo Jr.'s painting shown here). My favorite saying is "if we say we are wearing yellow shoelaces on Wednesday, we better be". I have carried a yellow ribbon on my work bag since he retired. We will all miss him dearly with his great sense of humor and patience. Knowing he is no longer separated from Anita provides comfort; praying for peace. Much affection, Julie

Leo was a man of high integrity who was respected by anyone who he came in contact with. I had the pleasure of working with him at Northrop Grumman when he was a supplier who provided safety training and then later, when he became the site´s Environmental Manager. He was top-notch in my opinion in so many ways. My deepest sympathy to Leo`s family, I know you are all devastated by this huge loss. May Leo and Anita rest in peace.

I consider myself extremely lucky to have known and worked with Leo at EMCON. I learned so much from him. He set such a great example of how to be a good person to everyone all the time, and it was something he did without even trying. He was truly one of the finest people I have ever known.

Few people at Northrop Grumman will ever be as respected as Leo was. One of the most positive people I have ever met. The important thing is that he and his wife were not separated for long and they are both together again for eternity. Our thoughts and prayers are with them and their family.

Leo was a man of great integrity, character and had a sense of humor second to none. He was a devoted husband and a loving father and grandfather. Anita, his wife, passed last year and my wife died of cancer shortly thereafter. Leo immediately reached out to me and he and I grieved together. He sent me a book, "It´s OK not to be OK." The book helped me tremendously through the grieving process. Even though Leo was feeling a strong sense of loss he still reached out to me and gave me much needed comfort and support. Leo was a giver and I know, with all my heart, that he and Anita are together for eternity!
