Obituary of Leo Julius Kolowitz
Leo Julius Kolowitz, 69, of Tacoma, WA passed away Friday, June 24, 2022, at Park Rose Care Center in Tacoma.
Mr Kolowitz was a man of wisdom and would give it to all who were willing to listen. He helped those who seemed less fortunate than himself and was always willing to lend a helping hand. His heart was big. He lived in many places throughout his lifetime, but WA state was the most beautiful to him. He was a simple man and was satisfied with the more simpler things that life brought him.
Following in his fathers footsteps, Leo served in the United States Army for six years as a M-16 sharpshooter. While serving, he earned a National defense Service medal award. He retired from Carlson Paving Products Inc. in Tacoma, WA.
He was preceded in death by his father, Julius Kolowitz, mother LeNina Kolowitz, a brother, a sweet baby granddaughter Carrianna, and his eldest son, Leo Kolowitz.
He leaves behind his son Daniel (Christy), daughter Nina (Timothy), daughter Sarah (Michael), brother Robert (Shelley), 12 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter, Abigail, whom he loved dearly, a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
A celebration of life for Leo will take place Saturday, August 6, 2022, at 11am at Community Life Foursquare Church located at 612 113th St. S. Tacoma, WA with Cassandra Groce officiating.
>> In lieu of flowers, the family requests to look for opportunities to share acts of kindness towards your fellow neighbor.
