Obituary published on Legacy.com by Jobe Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc.-Plum Chapel - Monroeville on Sep. 4, 2025.
Leo Albert Pollak, Jr.

Age 80 of Monroeville, formerly of Braddock Hills, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 3, 2025. Beloved husband of 59 years to Jo-Ann (Rossi) Pollak. Loving father of Jodi (Frank) Vecchio and Gay (Matthew) Bartges. Proud grandfather to Isabelle (Tony) Lloyd, Alina (Wilson, Jr.) Rojas, and Cameron Bartges, and two step-grandchildren, Brandon and Tyler. Great-grandfather to Coraline and Wilson, III. Also survived by his siblings, Claudia (Carl) Andrascik, Rodger (Patricia) Pollak, and Elaine (John) Duray; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo Albert and Valeria Penelope (Yurko) Pollak, Sr.; and sister, Judy Miller.

Leo honorably served in the US Army as a helicopter mechanic during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he continued to serve the community by working with the Port Authority of Allegheny County until his retirement in 1999. During his retirement he dedicated his time to caring for and spending time with his grandchildren. He always looked forward to going to the gun range with his brother and friend, Keith. He also loved hitting the road on his motorcycle and going on fishing adventures any chance he got.

Family and friends will be received Sunday, September 7, 2025 from 3-8 p.m. at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. (MONROEVILLE/PLUM CHAPEL) 445 Beatty Road, Monroeville (412-856-4747). Blessing Service will be held Monday, September 8, 2025 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial with military honors will follow at Monongahela Cemetery. www.jobefuneralhome.com.
