Leo Ressler passed away Sunday, January 16, 2011, at a Houston hospital. He was born March 20, 1940, in Baytown to Leo Ike and Lottie (Clawson) Ressler Sr. He was a retired machinist for Ethyl Corporation, with thirty-four years of service. He enjoyed his family and grandchildren and loved watching sports. He also spent many hours taking care of his cows. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Mr. Ressler is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Irene Dirba. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Ellouise Ressler, of Baytown; son, Randy Ressler and wife, Regina, of Barbers Hill; daughter, Donna Campbell and husband, Jeff, of Beach City; sister, Dorrine Lee; grandchildren, Cameron and Caitlin Campbell, and Grayson Ressler; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, January 20, 2011, at Crespo & Jirrels Chapel, with Bro. Danny Biddy officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Honoring the family as pallbearers will be Donald Haddon, Lee Franta, Rufus Larkin, Joe Bays, R. D. Burnside and Leo Hechler. Memorial donations may be made to Emma's Hugs at www.emmashugs.org or the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org Arrangements have been entrusted to Crespo & Jirrels Funeral and Cremation Services, 6123 Garth, Baytown, TX 77521, 281-839-0700.
