Leo "Jeff" Westhoven

Leo Jeffrey "Jeff" Westhoven, 65, of Liberty Center, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. Jeff was born in Napoleon, Ohio on October 14, 1959, to the late John and Barbara (Schmidt) Westhoven. On March 3, 2003, he married Mary Shank in Las Vegas, Nevada, and spend a loving 22 years together. Jeff thoroughly loved the outdoors and would often take part in mushroom hunting, arrowhead hunting, as well as farming in his free time. He was an avid fan of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Liberty Center Tigers football teams. Jeff was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and loved spending time with them whenever he could. He was also a member of St. Patrick Catholic Parish and Providence of Grand Rapids, Ohio. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary; children, Jason (Brooke) Westhoven, Angela (Michael) McDowell, Dustin (Cortnie) Westhoven, and Josh Westhoven; stepchildren, Wendy Hepfinger and Jason Shank; 17 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; siblings, Michael (Karol) Westhoven and Ellen (Doug) Nutter; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Jeff is preceded in death by his brother, Phillip Westhoven. Services will be private for the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Rodenberger-Gray Funeral Home, Napoleon.
