Mr. Leo Edwin Woodcock, age 89, died on Monday, November 3, 2025, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center. Leo was a native of Bulloch County and has been a resident for the last 50 years. He served in the U.S Naval Forces for 20 years of his life. After his retirement he began farming with his brother-in-law for many years. He loved gardening and enjoyed spending time outdoors. He regularly attended Grace Community Church. Leo was preceded in death by his parents, Leo "Tiny" Woodcock and Lucy Mock Woodcock; and his siblings Jim, Earl, Donnie, and Elsa Dean Woodcock.
Leo is survived by his wife Sarah Woodcock; his daughter Leona Johnson; his stepdaughters' Darlene Buchan (Tommy), Denise Wise, and Sissy Carter (Mike); his stepsons' Dean Lucas and Eddie Ferrer; and two sisters Mary Boyett and Joann (Tump) Hendrix; along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral service will be held alongside a military honor on Thursday at 11:00 a.m at Bulloch Memorial Gardens with Rev. Mike Holt officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to Ogeechee Area Hospice as it was a cause that Leo deeply believed in supporting.
Pallbearers will be Chad Brown, Wil Brown, Jeff Beasley, Chris Oglesby, Stevie Woodcock, and Earl Woodcock Jr.
