Leola Corbin Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ferry Funeral Home on Mar. 9, 2026.
Leola May "Lee" (Agee) Corbin, age 96, El Dorado Springs, MO, passed away on Monday, March 9, 2026 at Community Springs Healthcare in El Dorado Springs, MO. Lee was born May 7, 1929, in Lebanon, MO, the second of three children of James William "Bill" Agee and Bertha Irene (Cornell) Agee. Lee's mother, Bertha, died when Lee was eight years old.

Lee got her education at Gannon School of rural Lebanon. At the age of 14, she was baptized into the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Laclede County. Although she attended other churches in her lifetime, she always considered herself a Baptist.

In her early teens, she worked for a while at a drug store in Lebanon. In 1947, Lee went to San Francisco, CA, to join friends and she worked at a drug store while there. Even though she didn't particularly like living in California, she felt that she got a good education and had many new adventures while there. After nearly a year, she returned home to Laclede County for a visit with her family.

In early 1948, Lee moved to Colorado and went to work in a large department store in Denver. She loved Colorado and the mountains. It was there that she met Dean T. Corbin and they were married on June 21, 1949. They lived in Golden, CO, until they moved to Vernon County, MO, in 1951 to a church group of which Dean was a part. They had three children, Randall Torrence, Rhonda LeAnn and Renn William. When they first moved to Missouri, they lived in the Nevada area and then near Schell City until 1979 when they divorced. Then Lee bought a house in El Dorado Springs and lived there until 2003.

For 15 years, Lee worked in the grocery business and then worked for Walmart for nine years until car accident forced her retirement in March of 2002. After retirement she kept busy doing her many hobbies, reading, doing puzzles, embroidering and visiting. In 2003, she moved to the senior housing apartments in Schell City where she remained until December 2014, when she moved into assisted living in Nevada. She later went to Community Springs Healthcare in El Dorado Springs where she lived until her passing.

Lee was preceded in death by her parents, Bill Agee and Bertha (Cornell) Agee, and step-mother, Addie Leola Agee; brother, James "Jimmy" Agee; sisters, Louise Goff and Judy Marks; three brothers-in-law, Joe Goff , Jim Marks, and Bud Marks; great-grandson, Torrence White Corbin II; great-nephew, Cody Marks; a niece, Carol Cerny; and a nephew, Chris Cerny.

Survivors include her three children, Randy and Paula Corbin, Carl Junction, Rhonda and Dennis Wallen, El Dorado Springs, and Renn and Cindy Corbin, Schell City; grandchildren, Travis (Ciri) Corbin, Carl Junction, Traci (John) Kuhnert, Springfield, and Brandi (Jeremy) Maus, Schell City; great-grandchildren, Devin (Gabriella) Corbin, New Jersey, Coral (James) Givens, Oronogo, and Zane (Madison) Corbin, Carl Junction, Jacob Kuhnert and Ty Kuhnert, Springfield, Ethan Maus, Kohl Maus, and Patience Rae Maus, Schell City; great-great-grandchildren, Torrence N. Corbin, Brooke C. Corbin, and Oliver Givens; two sisters, Betty Marks and Joan Marks; and one brother-in-law, Bill Marks; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Graveside services for Lee M. Corbin will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Green Mound Cemetery in Harwood with Pastor Dennis Wallen officiating. Special music will be provided by Randy Corbin.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested in her name to CMH Hospice c/o Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.
