Leola Virginia Williams was one of eleven children born to the late Authur and Nellie Sharp on November 5, 1940, and transitioned on October 24, 2025. Leola was married to Johnny Williams in the 1960s, whom she loved, proceeded her in death alongside her son Tyrus Williams. Leola is survived by her four children, Carolyn Beasley, Charles Tucker, Valerie Tucker, and Ron Williams (Cheryl), and sister-in-law Annie Sharp. Thirteen grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.
At a young age, Leola gave her life to Christ and became a member of Community Baptist Church of Walbrook, founded by her mother, Nellie Sharp. Her favorite hymn to sing was Pass Me Not, O Gentle Savior, which will forever live on in our hearts. She always loved to sing, dance, and praise the Lord every day. She prides herself on making sure her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren knew the Lord and were disciplined
Leola received her education in Baltimore City Public Schools, where she attended Douglas High School and worked various domestic jobs throughout her life. Leola was a person of service, helping young children in the community and in her home. She managed a local marching band and directed many other recreational activities. She received the City of Baltimore Citizen Citation award in 1990.
Leola loved and adored her family and friends. Over the many years she lived with a strong faith and remained humble because she knew that GOD would call her home one day.
