Leon Eugene Crane was born January 8, 1954, to W. Maurice and Mary A. (Nash) Crane in Aberdeen, SD. He grew up on the family farm and graduated from Cresbard High School in 1972. Leon loved farming and lived his whole life on the farm. He enjoyed working on tractors, especially old International M and H models. He also worked for several area farmers.
Leon loved going for walks and enjoying the great outdoors. Watching the eagles, ducks and geese around the lake was a favorite pass time of his. Leon was also a regular at auction sales. He was known for being humble and kind.
Grateful for having shared Leon's life are his mother, Mary, two brothers: Stephen Crane and Daryl Crane, and several cousins.
Preceding Leon in death are his father, W. Maurice, his grandparents: Leslie and Vivian Crane and Earl and Edith Nash, his aunt Dorothy (Orville) Shonrock, and his uncles and aunt: Keith Nash, Oscar Nash, Gordon Nash, Dale Nash, Elmer Nash, and Isabel Means.
