Lincoln - Leon W. Larlee, 97, of Lincoln, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2025, surrounded by his family.

Born on February 14, 1928, to William and Ola Larlee, Leon was one of ten siblings. He was predeceased by his wife Sylvia, son Michael, granddaughter Sarah, grandson Chad, and all of his brothers and sisters. He is survived by his children and sons-in-laws William, Kate, David, Lynn & Martin Sanchez, Linda & Wesley Nelson, Daniel, Tammy & Rick Bellavance and Steven, along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

Leon graduated from Oakfield High School in 1946 and worked for the Bangor & Aroostook Railroad at just 16, retiring as Yardmaster in Millinocket in 1987, where he coached Little League. He proudly served in the Army Air Corps during the Korean War and in the Civil Service during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Leon embodied kindness and respect for all people. He loved farm life, gardening, enjoying nature in the Maine woods, and tending his woodstove. He had a wonderful sense of humor, loved imparting euphemisms of wisdom and positivity, was a lifelong Yankees fan, and a captivating storyteller to his family and grandchildren.

Leon believed "every day is a gift." He will be deeply and forever missed.
