Leon Albert Osborne, 71, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, September 22, 2025.
A son of the late Victor and Louise Osborne, he was born in Bristol, Connecticut, on July 13, 1954. Leon graduated from North Georgia Technical College with a degree in woodworking and from Oral Roberts University with a degree in Biblical Literature. Together with his wife, Janice, he founded Osborne Wood Products, Inc. in 1979 and guided its growth into a nationally recognized supplier of wood components serving the kitchen & bath and furniture industries. Known for his deep Christian faith, Leon was passionate about his family, his business, traveling, and organic gardening.
Leon was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Louise Osborne; his son, Matthew Osborne; and his sister, Martha Whiting (Robert).
He is survived by his loving wife, Janice; his son, Jonathan Osborne; his daughters, Sara Walker, River Riley (Spencer), and Elizabeth Hawkins (Korey); his grandchildren, Anna Walker, Kaitlyn Walker, and Harper Hawkins; his siblings, George Osborne (Betsy), Victor Osborne (Ruth), and Alberta Anderson (David) also survive him.
Leon will be remembered for his generosity, his joy, and his unwavering commitment to his faith.
The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Monday, September 29, 2025 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at 9:00 am with Rev. Henry Thang Pham officiating.
A Celebration of Life service will be held in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at 2:00 pm
Inurnment will follow in the Toccoa City Cemetery.
The family welcomes flowers. If you prefer, donations may be made in Leon's memory to one of the following organizations, both of which were close to his heart: NE Georgia CASA, 11 North Sage Street, Toccoa, GA 30577 or Stephens County Hospital Foundation, 163 Hospital Drive, Toccoa, GA 30577
