Lebanon, NH - On January 15, 2026, Leon Joseph Tremblay returned to the loving arms of his Lord and Savior. He passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family at the age of 95.

Leon was born in Lebanon, New Hampshire on January 10, 1931, to Wilfred Joseph Tremblay Sr. and Jeanne Marie (Boisvert) Tremblay. He was the third of ten children and a direct descendant of Pierre Tremblay of Quebec City (1657). He attended Sacred Heart School and later Lebanon High School where he was on the ski team and football team.

In June of 1952, Leon joined the U.S. Air Force and proudly served his country as an aircraft mechanic. He was stationed in Japan in 1953. Leon honorably discharged in 1956.

After discharge from the service, Leon met Dorothy Sturtevant at his sister Annette's wedding and a year later they were married on August 31, 1957, at Sacred Heart Church in Lebanon, NH. He became a life-long resident, raising his three children. As a faithful Catholic Leon helped build the LaSalette Chapel in Enfield, NH and volunteered regularly. He continued his volunteer work at Sacred Heart Parish and started a Catholic Boy Scout troop with his brother Victor. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus, becoming a fourth-degree knight in 1960. Alongside his 30 years of working at Split Ballbearing he was also an active member in his community, working with the Boy Scouts of America and coaching Little League.

Leon was predeceased by his siblings, Roger, Roland, Victor, Louis, Wilfred Jr., his infant sister Theresa, along with his infant grandson Christopher Michael.

Leon is survived by his wife Dorothy Tremblay, three children- Martin Tremblay, Mary Cassidy, and Thomas Tremblay, nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Annette Langley, John Tremblay, and Louise Gribble.

Family and friends are invited to call from 5-8PM on Friday, January 30, 2026, at Ricker Funeral Home in Lebanon, NH. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 10AM. Committal will follow at Valley Cemetery in Lebanon, NH.
