Leona Louise Durbin, 96 of Shelbyville, Illinois and formerly to Rosamond, Illinois died Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at 11:50 AM at Villas of Holly Brook in Shelbyville. Graveside Services will be held Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 11:00 AM in Rosemond Grove Cemetery, Rosamond, Illinois with Pastor Leon Goff officiating. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Nokomis, Illinois or Quad County Hospice, Pana.
Leona Louise Kluthe was born November 18, 1924 in Nokomis, Illinois the daughter of Chris and Hulda (Hagemeier) Kluthe. She was raised in Nokomis and attended Ohlman Elementary Schools. Leona married Charles "Sie" Durbin on December 5, 1941 in Trinity Lutheran Church, Nokomis, Illinois, and he died July 5, 2012. She was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Nokomis.
Leona Durbin is survived by Son: Larry Durbin (Audrey) of Cape Coral, Florida; Daughters: Marcia Freed of Fairbury, Illinois and Cathy Rigsby (Dale), also of Fairbury; 11 Grandchildren: Gina Osborn (Brian), Wes Durbin (Bridgett), Angie Vieback (Eric), Jason Bolding (Tara), Cody Freed, Eli Rigsby (Courtney), Natalie Murray (Neil), Riley Wittman (Luke), Bailey Hancock (Jeff), Ty Durbin, and Townes Durbin; 18 Great-Grandchildren: Anna Osborn, Claire Osborn, Cayden Durbin, Kynlie Durbin, Carley Vieback, Noah Vieback, Bennett Bolding, Blake Bolding, Bronwyn Rigsby, Ellie Rigsby, McKay Rigsby, Monroe Wittman, Cy Wittman, Laila Hancock, Jace Hancock, Landyn Durbin, Ashtyn Durbin, and Avery Murray. She is preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, 2 Sons: Roger Charles Durbin, who died July 20, 1976 and Chris D. Durbin, who died November 17, 2017; Great-Great-Grandson: Carson Roger Vieback-Etter, who died in infancy in 2011; and Sisters.
