Leona Jewett, age 71, of Madison, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Jefferson Healthcare. She was born April 7, 1954 in Painesville, the daughter of Albert and Ruth (Kidder) Doing.
Most remembered for the love and compassion that she had with her grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, she loved Nascar, horses, arts and crafts, drawings, family picnics, and she enjoyed being outside in nature.
She is survived by her children, Deanna (J.J.) Lawson, Sabrina (David) Weaver, John Sinkko, Joseph Sinkko, Tonya (Omar Pollard) Jewett, Mary (Donald Obhof) Imrie, and Amber Jewett; grandchildren, Richard Pierce, Erica Spinner, Tatiana Rizek, Brandyn Swank, Brittany Swank, Tiffany Swank, Zack Swank, Jani Sinkko, Miranda Daigle, Colton Sinkko, Evan Sinkko, Oliver Sinkko, Brandon Jones, Hannah Sinkko, Joseph Sinkko, Breanna McCaine, Andrew McCaine (Julia), Kaylee Elswick (George), Mikala McCaine, Adison McCaine, Kali Imrie, Kassidie Imrie, Kaira Imrie, Kristen Obhof, Kanessa Obhof, Donald Obhof III, Kerrihonna Obhof, Donathon Obhof, Dawn Obhof, Jordan Dodd, and Jasmine Dodd; 16 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Albert, Wayne, and Steve Doing; 4 sisters, Rosie Parrey, Judy (Butch) Weinhold, and Debbie Kincaid, and Amanda Hayes.
She was preceded in death by her husband of over 20 year Michael Jewett; granddaughter Mallory Daigle; sisters, Mary Lou Sundman, Polly Cole; brothers, Thomas and Joe Doing; nieces Crystal and Riley; nephew, John John, and her companion, John Brinkus.
Friends and family will be received from 4:00 to 7:00pm on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at the Behm Family Funerla Home, 26 River St., in Madison. A Graveside Service will take place at 10:00am on Friday, October 24, 2025 at Madison Memorial Cemetery on Arcola Road in Madison. Online obituary and guestbook at www.behmfuneral.com
