Leona Morse Obituary
Leona was a devoted mother to Jackie Rasco, Dennis Morse, Bobbie Hutchinson, Scotty Morse, Sidney Morse, Johnny Morse, Kyle Morse, Erica Carlson, and Amanda Morse. Her nurturing extended far beyond her own children, as she lovingly opened her home to over 100 foster children in Kittitas County. Each child found a haven in her care, experiencing her kindness and support.
Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were truly her greatest joy. Leona held a special place in her heart for Marcy Good, David Jones, Kimberly Jones, Melisa Jones, Tate Morse, Adrienne Grasher, Renae Morse, Kevin Morse, Jason Morse, Mark Hutchinson, Jimmy Hutchinson, and her many cherished great-grandchildren. Their laughter and presence brought immense light into her life.
Leona found happiness in simple, heartfelt moments. Summers at Taneum Campground were a treasured tradition, where she gathered her family and created lasting memories with her grandchildren. She loved preparing family dinners, volunteering at the food bank, and sewing. Time spent with those she loved was always her most valued possession.
Leona was preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Ryan Morse, whose passing brought deep sorrow. She also rejoined her husbands, Arthur Davy Morse and Jim Berry, in eternal rest. Leona is survived by her sisters, Shirley Anthony and Marion Carney, and her brother, Albert Weisbeck.
Leona Morse will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of unconditional love, selfless generosity, and unwavering dedication to family will continue to inspire and resonate for generations to come.
Please join us for a memorial honoring Leona's life on September 6 at 1:00 p.m. to be held at the Taneum Campground. Please bring your favorite dish and a chair.
