Leona Thomas Obituary
She was born in Martin, Kentucky to the late Otto Ramsey and Edna Potter Ramey. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jack Thomas; sisters, Anna Cantrell, Delorse Darnell, Susan Vigliotti, Sadie Lee Bove and brother, Sherman Ramey, Allen Ramey and Billy Ramey
Leona was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #79, St. Albans. She was a resident of Tornado for 65 years.
Surviving is her daughters, Violet Hunt and Teresa Joy Joyce; sons, William O. Thomas and Benjamin Jack Thomas; sister, Vada Carol Matney; brother, J.T. Ramey. Also surviving are Seven grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2025 at Bartlett-Nichols Funeral Home, St. Albans with Pastor Mike Ramsey officiating. Entombment will follow in Graceland Memorial Park, South Charleston.
The family will receive friends from 12 to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

I'm so sorry for the family's of Leona. I remember many good times growing up playing with her children. Memories of Leona and Jack in our kitchen on Saturday nights playing cards with my mom and dad deep into the night. I remember a their laughing.
