Leonard A. Albergo age 85 a longtime resident of River Edge and a proud child of Brooklyn died Thursday, September 12, 2024. Beloved husband of Linda (nee) Bozzone. Devoted father of Damian Albergo and his wife Jennifer, and Cameron Albergo and his wife Jennifer. Loving grandfather of Nicolette, Damian, Jr., Alexis, and Ella. Leonard was predeceased by his loving siblings Joseph and his wife Ann. Louis and his wife Millie, Florence and her husband Jim, and Marino and his wife Billie Jean.
Leonard's memory will continue to be cherished by his many loving nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Leonard worked as a product manager for The Levy Group, Inc. in the garment district in New York City for over 60 years. He was a longtime parishioner of St. Peter the Apostle in River Edge. He was a member of the U.S. Trotter's Association as well as being a horse trainer and holding a provisional horse driving license. In addition for his love for his family and horses, Leonard's passion for playing his Conn Saxophone will always be remembered with joy.
Family and friends are invited to visit Sunday 3-7PM at the Volk Leber Funeral Home, 268 Kinderkamack Rd., Oradell, NJ. Funeral service Monday, 10AM at St. Peter the Apostle RC Church River Edge. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus.
