What can I say about Sam--
We graduated Garfield High School in 1966 and 52 years later he became aware that I was going through a rough patch and he was there for me. He helped me out for years for which I will always grateful. But that was Sam. He was an extremely kind and generous person. I'll never forget the day a whole cooked turkey with all the trimmings showed up at my door. I didn't even have to look at the card. I knew it was from Sam. The card read, Gobble, gobble, gobble, from Sam and Tina!!
I will always remember him for the thoughtful and truly caring person that he was. My sincere condolences to his family.
Godspeed my friend and thank you for everything.

Sam was truly one of the good guys.. as a Garfield `66 classmate , I can say even then he exhibited the kind, easy personality and "friend to all " attitude that clearly followed him into his adult life.. I did not always agree with all his politics but he was always ready to discuss and find areas of common ground.
Sam Raia .. a good man. May the angels carry him into Eternity.
