Born: August 3, 1937
Died: September 2, 2025
Leonard G. "Lenny" Anderson, age 88 of Shabbona, IL passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at Prairie Crossing Living and Rehabilitation Center in Shabbona, IL. He was born on August 3, 1937 in Geneva, IL the son of Almer and Laura (Mattsen) Anderson.
Lenny was united in marriage on August 20, 1960 to Janis Swenson and they spent the next 65 years happily together. Mr. Anderson was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy Reserve. Lenny was a lifelong farmer. He enjoyed spending time on the farm and savored his time with family. He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Lee, IL. Lenny was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.
Lenny is survived by his wife, Janis Anderson of Shabbona, IL; his children, Julie (West) Devick of Oronoco, MN, Wesley (Susan) Anderson of Shabbona, IL, Kristine (Daniel) Tobin of Dixon, IL, and Kip (Laura) Anderson of Shabbona, IL; his grandchildren, Natalie Devick, Tristan (Paige) Devick, Ian (Sarah) Anderson, Dayna Anderson, Joshua Anderson, Zachary Anderson, and Alexa Anderson; his great-granddaughter, Addilynn Anderson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Almer and Laura Anderson; and his son, Scott Anderson.
Friends may visit from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Sunday, September 7, 2025 at the Nash-Nelson Funeral Home, 1001 East Garfield St., Waterman, IL. A Graveside Service and Interment will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, September 8, 2025 at the North Clinton Cemetery in Waterman, IL.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Unity Hospice. The family greatly appreciates the support of Unity Hospice in bringing Lenny out to the farm for him to watch the oat harvest this past summer.

Anderson Family,
So sorry to hear of Lens passing.
He was a very nice man who cared deeply for his family and friends.
