Leonard Kaulaokalani Angay

Leonard Kaulaokalani Angay, 83, of Kailua-Kona, HI, passed away on May 28, 2025, at his home. He was a retired Logger, Owner of A.C's Chinese Restaurant, and worked in the family business of Kaimana Jerky where he has a big part in the production and invention of the product. He was also one of the founding members of the Brother's in Archery Club, and a member of Jehovah's Witnesses.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Marie Angay of Kailua-Kona, HI; son, Mark (Keala) Angay of Kapolei, Oahu; daughters, Leonora (Chris) Cho, Lana Angay, and Lynn Angay all of Kailua-Kona, HI; sister June Brady of Hilo, HI; 6 grandchildren; Sheldon Cho, Shakeisha Angay-Pihi, Ione Hammp, Kaloko Angay, Makana Angay, and Kilinahe Angay, 7 great-grandchildren; Momi Cho, Kelena, Cho, Alexa Cho, Mahina Cho and Hoku Cho; Hoakalei Enguito and Haumanu Enguito: numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is also
preceded in death by his son Leonard (Boy) Angay, and his four brothers; Nelson Mokuhalii, Steven Angay, Joseph Angay and Jacob Angay.
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 16, 2025 at Honokohau Fishing and Game Club House at 11:00am-5:00pm.
