Funeral services for Leonard Roland Smith, Jr. will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, December 13, 2024, at Riser Funeral Home, Columbia, LA, with Bro. Darren Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Jena, LA. The family will have a visitation on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at the funeral home from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and prior to the service on Friday. 

Leonard "Big Buddy" Smith, Jr. was born in Pineville, LA, on March 2, 1966, to his parents, Leonard Smith, Sr. and Jimmie Ruth Brown Smith. He passed from this life after an extended illness on December 7, 2024, at Metairie, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Renee Bates; and three grandchildren. Big Buddy enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his family and visiting with his many friends. He will be greatly missed. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his children: son, Leonard "Buddy" Smith III (Tia) and daughter, Joni Smith; brother, Jimmy Hamilton; two sisters; seven grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmy Hamilton, Buddy Smith, J. C. Young, Jeffery Young, Scotty Hefner, and Dillon Humphries. Honorary pallbearers are William Smith and Colby Smith.
