Wow, I just learned today of Dr. Leonard V. Cohen's passing. I am deeply saddened that this gentle giant, who served with passion, patience, and integrity. He certainly valued his patients and their well-being. I will cherish the memories of laughter, positive energy he generated. My Deepest Sympathy to his wife, Melanie, whom he adored, and to his children, grandchildren, and other relatives. May the love shared and the fond memories of your beloved give you comfort and peace during this time of sorrow. May the works that he has done speak for him. Rest in Peace, Dr. Leonard V. Its not everyday that you get to express how someone made a difference in your life, coming from a small town in central Kentucky, After years of dealing with narcolepsy and moving to Florida, Dr.Cohen was that individual, he made my life so much better making sure the medication i needed was prescribed by him Dr Cohen you will hold a special place in my heart.I thank you Darrell Jones

Let's just say I miss your happy presence at the neurology office. You made a difference to me with your happy self I always loved seeing you when I couldn't see Dr Becerra. Please watch over him. Dr Cohen was a gem. I am saddened to hear about his passing. He was the only doctor that listened to me and helped me after years of being ignored. I hope he knows what a difference he made.

Dr Cohen saved my life. He was able to see that I was suffering and diagnosed my condition when other doctors were not helping. I looked forward to seeing him at every opportunity. Thank you, Doctor!

The Cohen was my favorite doctor. He cared so much for his patient. I was So sad when he passed. I will miss him so. Rest in peace. What happened now without him. He will be so hard to replace .

Today I learned of Dr. Cohen´s passing to his eternal rest.
Although my mother had the privilege of being his patient for only four months, it was enough time for him to do us the honor of correcting a misdiagnosis: for years other neurologists had diagnosed my mother with epilepsy.
Thanks to his passion for his patients and for helping my mother, we will always be grateful to him. He will be missed by all his patients.

For my mother and me, Dr. Cohen was an angel sent by God.

Dear Mrs. Cohen and Family,

Please accept my most heartfelt condolences on the passing of Dr. Cohen. I was deeply saddened to hear the news today; it is truly difficult to come to terms with the loss of such an extraordinary man.

For sixty years, I suffered from chronic headaches that no other physician could resolve. Dr. Cohen was the only one who possessed the wisdom and dedication to finally cure me. Beyond his brilliance as a doctor, it was his genuine humility that made him so special. He truly changed my life, and I will forever be grateful to him.

My thoughts and prayers are with you, his children, and his grandchildren during this incredibly difficult time. We have lost a truly exceptional soul.

Just found out today 1/14/2026 that Doc passed on a couple of months ago. He was always a person with a positive outlook on everything. He will be missed. See you on the other side. Steven Zabielinsky

I just found out today of Dr. Cohen´s passing when I called to make an appointment. May his memory be for a blessing. He was a mensch. I just found out that Dr. Cohen passed away, a man who touched my family in the most profound ways.
I first met him in the Aventura ER, during one of the scariest moments of my life, when my husband fainted and fractured his skull. Dr. Cohen walked into the room with a calm, reassuring presence and a smile that felt like hope. From that moment on, he became someone I trusted deeply.
He later cared for my father as he battled Parkinson´s, always treating him with patience, respect, and genuine kindness. And eventually, he was there for my daughter after her stroke, offering comfort not just to her, but to all of us.
Privately, I used to call him "Santa Claus." He had that warmth, that gentle strength, that big smile that made you believe everything would be okay. He carried joy with him, even in difficult situations, and his positivity was contagious.
Dr. Cohen wasn´t just a doctor to us-he was a light during some of our hardest moments. His compassion, his optimism, and his dedication left a mark on our lives that will never be forgotten.
May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him. And may we honor him by carrying forward the kindness and warmth he shared so freely.

Dr Lenny Cohen was one of a kind. He was simply an awesome human being who always cared and searched for the best way to help my husband and investigated until he found the answer! Made us feel loved, cared for and important as a patient and a person. He shared stories with us and talked about his fantastic family also. What a loss to them and to the medical community as well. Thanks to his family for sharing him with us. May his loved ones be comforted by their wonderful memories.

I am heartbroken hearing of the death of Dr Cohen. He helped me, my daughter, and many of my patients. He was so kind and caring, smart and patient, sweet. Bittersweet,I loved reading his obituary. It summed him up so well, if you can sum up such an incredible man in a few words. He was larger than life. And now life will not be the same without him.

He was such a great physician. I felt so lucky to have him. I will miss his kindness and expertise and ... jokes and stories. What a loss . May his memory be for a blessing
