He was also passionate about sports in all forms; cricket, rugby (go Bokke!), golf, tennis, and beyond, both as a player and an enthusiastic spectator. And when his children went to the University of Florida, he became a Gator-showing up to games, tailgating with his kids and their friends, and playing beer pong with the best of them. He had a charm that could light up a room and a bear hug that could make the world feel right again. His laughter - rich, booming, and full of life - filled every space he entered. A voracious reader and an avid photographer, he had an insatiable curiosity for the world. Whether traveling to new places, going on safari, or capturing beauty through his lens, he embraced life with awe and gratitude. He lived fully, loved deeply, and left behind a legacy of warmth, humor, and humanity. His presence was a gift, and his absence leaves an immeasurable void. To those who knew him, he will always be remembered for his strong opinions, his quick wit, his kindness, and his ability to make everyone feel like the most important person in the room. He lived by his values - passion, humility, and joy - and the world is gentler, funnier, and better because he was in it.
