Leonard was a friend of mine in our teen age years. We surfed and skateboarded together. I remember a road trip with Leonard and Allen Saltamachio to Carlsbad from Palos Verdes in Allen’s white truck. We surfed and ate fish tacos. Also, He borrowed my basketball shoes one time and used them for skateboarding to Rat beach. He moved from Palos Verdes to Hawaii and we never saw each other again. Rest In Peace Leonard.

Outside of my family, Len was the first person I met in life, first childhood friend. I've known him since birth, he lived just up the street. We had a lot of fun skateboarding, playing soccer, sharing toys, street hockey, baseball, going to beach, roaming the open fields of rural Palos Verdes, discovering music like Led Zeppelin, watching Get Smart and 70s television. I had no brothers, so first 10 years of my life Len was my older brother. Rest in Peace Leonard.

Lenny and I met in high school and we were instantly friends. We played music together, surfed the rocky reefs in Palos Verdes, and lived together in the rustic town of Koloa on the island of Kauai. I will always treasure our friendship and the moments that we shared. Rest in peace brother. Alan Saltamachio 760.815.4547
