Leonard Robertson Hunter was born November 30, 1935, in Nashville, Tennessee to the union of Leonard Robertson and Joanna Hunter Patton. This fruitful life came to an end on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital West in Nashville, Tennessee.
Leonard accepted Christ in his life at an early age and was united with Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church of Nashville, TN. He attended Metro Nashville Public Schools in Nashville Davidson County.
Leonard served his country in the Army Branch of The United States Armed Forces. He received an honorable discharge. He was employed by The National Life Insurance Company for many years, and he worked for the The Metro Transit Authority for over 30 years until retirement.
Leonard enjoyed bowling, traveling and attending Tennessee State University football games.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Robertson and Joanna Patton and grandson, Alfred Caruthers.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sister, Marie Phillips, (Nashville, TN), brother, Norman Hunter, (Texas), children, Felece Renee, Leonard Steven, Gina, Angela, Randy, grandchildren, Shoneisha, Markesha, Steve, LaToya (Moses), Jennifer (Tameika), Montrell, Erica, Monique (Michael), Christopher, Deidre, Latasha, 25 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, devoted niece Pamela Drumwright, a host of nieces and nephews and close cousins the Corder Family.
