Mr. Leonard David James, 70 of LaFayette, AL passed away on Friday, February 27, 2026.

Public Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, from 1:00 PM until 7:00 PM CST at Silmon-Seroyer Funeral Home Chapel in LaFayette.

Mr. James will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the funeral service.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2026, 1:00 PM CST at Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church in LaFayette, AL, Rev. Michael Stiggers, Sr., Pastor, Rev. Kelsey Barnes, Officiating, Pastor Cecelia Broome, Eulogist.

Burial will follow in Pine Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery in LaFayette, AL.

Mr. James leaves to cherish his memories to his wife, Earnestine James of LaFayette, AL, two daughters, Breonna and Keonna James, both of LaFayette, AL, six sons, Corey (Mary) Bledsoe of Lanett, AL, Terrance (Monica) Bledsoe of Lanett, AL, Kevin Jackson of Douglasville, GA, Dishon Jackson of LaFayette, AL, Vierra (Stephanie) James of Temple, GA and De'Quavien (Shavar) James of Atlanta, GA, thirty grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, three sisters, Sherry Porter of Lanett, AL, Jackie (Tommy) Avery of West Point, GA and Ruby James of LaFayette, AL, three brothers, Randy James of LaFayette, AL, Leonard (Minnie) James of Birmingham, AL and Gary (Princess) James of Birmingham, AL, a host of nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly and raised and treated just like his own.
