Leonard Amedeo Lapetina

LEONARD AMEDEO LAPETINA, 66, of New Egypt, NJ, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Wedgewood Gardens, Freehold Twp., NJ. He was born in Brooklyn, NY and had resided in Cape Coral, FL., before settling here.

Leonard was employed as the office manager and a boiler mechanic for Boro Fuel, Brooklyn, NY for 30 years prior to his retirement in 2017.

He was a member and past commander of the Brooklyn Yacht Club and he also enjoyed fishing.

Leonard was predeceased by his parents, Leonard S. and Angelina Lapetina; and by his significant other, Jeanette Calderon. He is survived by his sister, Marie Lapetina and her husband, Sal Grasso of New Egypt, NJ; his nieces, Jessica Grasso-Finochio and her husband, Frank, Marissa Pisano and her husband, Mike and Christina Grasso; and by his great-nephews and niece, Michael Grasso-O'Brien, Marina Pisano and Giuseppe Finochio.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation from 4-8 PM on Monday, December 22, 2025, at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson, NJ. A funeral gathering will be offered at 8:30 AM on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at the funeral home. His Funeral Liturgy will follow at 9:30 AM at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, 935 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson, NJ. A private cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Leonard's memory to the Alzheimer's Association of America, 322 Eighth Ave, 16th Floor, New York, NY 10001, www.alzfdn.org, and would be greatly appreciated.
