Leonard A. "Lenny" Morin

Leonard Albert Morin, affectionately known as 'Lenny', peacefully passed away on April 5, 2024. Lenny was the first child born to Gaston and Nathalie (Pariseau) Morin on October 11, 1945 in Manchester, NH where he grew up, met his wife and raised his family. His life was marked by a profound love and respect for family, friends, and simple joys.

Lenny shared 52 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Lorraine Regina Bourque, his childhood sweetheart who preceded him in death. He will be deeply missed by his devoted son, David Morin, and daughter-in-law Amanda of Newmarket; daughter, Christine Andrews, and son-in-law John of Deering; grandsons, Alex Shreenan of Manchester, Calvin and Zachary Morin of Newmarket; his sister Denise Morin of Rhode Island, and several nieces and their families.

Lenny found joy in spending time with family, relishing a good meal, reading a book, or watching a great Bruin's game. A lifelong, avid New England sports fan, he also dedicated himself to coaching his children's sports teams and later cheering on his grandsons in their endeavors. He was a voracious reader, particularly enjoying history and science fiction, and loved sharing stories of travels with his wife, as well as the trips he took internationally during his career as an engineer. He also shared his wife's passion for conservation and never ceased to enjoy a good walk outdoors.

A proud Marine, Leonard served with honor and distinction and his commitment to serving his country extended beyond his military service. Through the American Legion, Lenny served his fellow veterans in several ways, including connecting veterans with essential resources or standing as part of the color guard during interment ceremonies.

A celebration of Lenny's life will be held in the future for family and friends to honor his memory.
