Leonard E. Munzer

Leonard E. Munzer, beloved husband to the late Lillian E. Munzer, Father, Grandfather & Great Grandfather; died peacefully in his sleep at the age of 92. Loving father to 5 Children: Christine (Tony), Michael (Renee), Cathy (Peter), Mary (Joseph) & Joseph (Martina); Grandfather to 6 grandchildren: Emily (Sean), Katherine (Zane), Stephanie (John), Amanda, Allison and the late Laura. He was Great Grandfather to Adrijan, Cole, Fiona, Margo & Elizabeth. 

Leonard worked at CBS, where he met Lillian. He proudly served as a Korea war Veteran (he wore his Korea War Vet hat everywhere). Upon his return from Korea Lillian was there to greet the love of her life with open arms. 

Leonard moved up the corporate ladder and held executive leadership positions as VP of Marketing for several distributors of electronic components including Schweber Electronics and Arrow Electronics. 

Leonard was a Parishioner at St. Thomas More R. C. Church in Hauppauge, NY where he served as Eucharistic Minister for many years.

A Wake Service will be held at Maloney Funeral Home, 840 Wheeler Road, Hauppauge, NY on Monday, December 30th from 3pm to 7 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Thomas More RC Church in Hauppauge on Tuesday, December 31st at 9:45 AM, followed by a gravesite service at Calverton National Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers: donations to National Veterans Foundation (nvf.org) would be greatly appreciated.
