Leonard James Nelms, 53, of Avon, passed away on November 10th, 2023.
Leonard was a remarkable man who touched the life of all who knew him. He was an amazing husband, father, papaw, and friend. He will not only be remembered for his kindness and thoughtfulness to all, but the complete joy, love, and laughter he brought to his friends and family.
Leonard was a truck driver for almost 30 years with many safe mile awards but his true passion in life was his family, friends, riding his motorcycle, and being on the beach.
He is survived by his wife, Kathie; his daughter, Bethany; his son, Brandon; his step-son Dustin; his son-in-law, Mitch; his grandsons, Easton, Parker, Jaxon, and Asher; and his siblings, Nita, Mary, Jackie, Denny, and Robert.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary; and his sister, Judy.
There will be a visitation on Friday, November 17th, 2023, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm with the memorial service to follow at 5:00pm.
