Leonard Weldon Ridenour, Sr, passed away on December 3, 2024, in Bryan, Texas. He was born on December 31, 1939, in Buffalo, Texas to Leonard Thomas Ridenour and Americus Victoria (Beggs) Ridenour.
Leonard was very well known and respected in the Buffalo Community, and people thought a lot of him. He was a hard worker that could repair anything. He leaves behind the legacy of being extremely kindhearted and an amazing husband, father and grandfather.
Leonard was preceded in death by both of his parents; brothers, Wilburn Ridenour and Thomas W. Ridenour; and sister, Joyce Swarthout. He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-six years, Mary Ridenour; sons, Leonard Ridenour, Jr. (Carrie Dazey), Anthony Ridenour, and Daniel Ridenour (Tammy Sibley); daughters, Mary Anne Ridenour and Gail Keefer (Jeff); grandchildren, Lindsay Balderas (Isaac), Tiffany McKenney, Dakota Ridenour, Amber Fields (Chance Herrington), Rebecca Gordon, Chelsie Mitchell, Courtney Ridenour, and Jeffery "BJ" Keefer (Dina); as well as numerous great-grandchildren.
A funeral service for Leonard will be held 2 P.M., Monday, December 9, 2024, at Walters' Buffalo Funeral Home, Buffalo, Texas. Bro. Jim Davis will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Siloam Cemetery. A visitation will take place from 1 P.M. until time of the service.
