December 31, 1949 - October 29, 2024
Leonard Sarff 74, passed into the Lord 's arms on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at Ridgecrest Post Acute Care in Phoenix, Arizona.
Dr. Len Sarff, as many knew him, was born in Houston, Texas on December 31, 1949. He spent his early life in the Pacific Northwest, where he met his wife Sharon. They moved to Yuma, Arizona in 1999 and were married in 2000.
Len honorably served in the United States Navy as a corpsman during the Vietnam conflict.
Len enjoyed his private practice as a Psychologist in Yuma, AZ as well as seeing patients at Yuma Regional Medical Center and local care centers.
Fishing and camping were his favorite past times. He fished in the Pacific Ocean, the Sea of Cortez and Alaska. He was an active member of Gila Mountain United Methodist Church.
Len is survived by his wife, Sharon; son, Logan Sarff; daughters, Emily Molloy (John) and Tracie Schmutz Stoeklen (Tom). He loved his siblings Janice Lund (Ron), Paula Cunningham, Robert Sarff and Terri Phillips (Ed). Four grandchildren and multiple nieces and nephews.
Len will be interned with military honors at Tahoma National Cemetery in Washington at a later date.

Beloved older brother, best story teller, buyer of popsicles from the neighborhood ice cream truck for this grateful little sister.

Dr. Sarff was not only my professor while I was in school, but he was a great mentor, he had a passion to teach, help others and be of service to the Yuma Community. I learned alot from him as he was always willing to share his knowledge with whom wanted to learn. After I graduated from school, I had the honor to work side by side with him out in the Yuma community with one purpose in mind, "To be able to help others". To his wife and his family, I am so sorry for your loss, there are no words that I can say that will make the pain of such a tremendous loss any easier. My prayers will be with each of you during such hard times. "Thank you for your service Dr. Sarff, your mission on this earth has concluded, now you get to go with the Big Man and rest", my collegues and I will take over and continue helping the Yuma Community". You are defintley going to be missed.
