Leone C. "Lee" Lassell

Bucksport- Leone (Lee) Forsythe went home to be with her lord and savior on 2/01/26. She was born in Milo, Maine on 6/14/37, the daughter of Roscoe and Pearl (Wade) Lassell. Lee grew up in Bradford then moved to Ellsworth at the age of 16 to attend high school.

It was there while working at the Brookside Restaurant that she met the love of her life Herbert Forsythe and they were married on September 8, 1957.

Lee and Herb moved to Verona in the early 60's where they raised their children Bonnie and husband Duane Ellis, Brenda and husband David Bowden and Greg and wife Johanna Forsythe. Lee worked as a waitress at Jed Prouty's, a teller at Merrill Bank for many years and secretary at Prudential Ins.

Lee loved her lord and savior which gave her great comfort and faith during her life.

After retiring she and Herb enjoyed the snowbird life living in Venice FL for half the year and home on Verona during the summers.

Lee was predeceased by her husband, parents, and 6 siblings. She is survived by 11 grandchildren Alanda Levesque, Neil Bowden, Christopher Ellis, Ashley Mayotte, and Calista, Kyle, Jianna, Tyler, Lucas, Bryce, and Jacob Forsythe as well as 7 great grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held on 2/14/26 at 1:00 with a celebration of life to follow at 2:00 at the Bucksport Bible Church on Central Street in Bucksport. In lieu of flowers please donate in her memory to a charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the care of Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home and Cremation Services Bucksport.
